First off, this is not a full blown out review. There are enough of those around the web.  Go find a video game site and I promise you, there is a massive review about this game.  Plus you have various comic book sites, movie sites, entertainment sites, etc.  Here’s the thang:  They all say basically the same thing….

This game fucking rocks.

No.  Seriously.  It rocks.  Definite contender for Game of the Year.  It’s probably the early front runner.  If you liked Batman – Arkham Asylum, you will love BAC.  Plus there will be massive DLC for the game.  You already know about Catwoman, right?  She’s actually playable in the story format..  But you also have Robin and Nightwing.  Oh yeah..  And more maps.  And more villians.  Some suprises I will not spoil for you.

Get this game.  NOW.

Hugh Hefner finally commented on the new Fall TV Season’s first cancellation, The Playboy Club over at TVGuide.com.  Basically he stated that the show was better suited for cable and a more adult audience.  Ya think?  This show was not meant for network TV.  Sometimes common sense should just automatically kick in…

Red Hood & The Outlaws:  Damn, Roy looks like a meth head.  Jason is still alive – pity.  I wasted a call for nothing.  That little shit should be worm food – damn you Judd, why did you bring this tool back?  Where’s Kori?  Hello!!  Saywhatnow?  What the hell is this bullshit about?  She doesn’t remember Roy or any of the Titans?  Oh this sucks major!!!  And who was the genius who turned her into a whore?  I’m disgusted….

But still as much as I absolutely loved the writing and direction for Deathstroke, the art was crap.  Case in point:

Unless you’ve been living in a cave somewhere, the end of Flashpoint and the end of the old DCU coupled with Justice League numero uno dropped at midnight.  At 12:05 AM – the reviews rained down from the comic reviewers on high.  Google them, read them and trust me, 90% will read the same:

Yup, I kid you not.  All this pomp and circumstance and basically DC shot a blank.  Oh, it’s a pretty blank.  It’s freakin’ Jim Lee and Geoff Johns but still – a blank.  JL1 is a glorified Brave and Bold with Batman and GL – Hal Jordan version.  Starro’s not the big bad that forms the JL.  Batman and GL aren’t fans of each other but will work with each other.  Oh yeah, the origin will drag on six (I kid you not) issues.  Prepared to be…  well…  I don’t know but the word mediocre has to fit in there somewhere.

I had a feeling…  And yeah, I’ll tell you now – it ain’t gonna get that much better, kiddies.  As for me, I’ll check it all out.

BBC America – The Hour

BBC America has a new tag title for some new shows and one awesome returning one:  Dramaville.  Click the link for more info, but hit the jump for one of the main reasons as to why I keep my cable billed paid on time….

Idris Elba is the host for “Dramaville” and he’s also reprising his Emmy nominated role as Detective John Luther in “Luther”.  If you haven’t checked Season 1 – go find the DVD and watch it – it’s only like six episodes but OMG….  Hmmm.. “The Hour” stars Dominic West and Idris stars in “Luther”…  can you say Jimmy McNulty meets Stringer Bell one mo’ time?

So read it, let it marinate and then know – if they’re writing it, and I’m thinking it – so many others must be thinking it as well.  Which leads to the elephant in the room…

Why isn’t DC doing something about it?

It’s one thing to have one major picture to come out in a year.  This year, although has beaten up the box office records something fierce, will be labeled a dissappointment in terms of actual hits.  Yes, Harry Potter is a monster, but really – who didn’t know that?  Thor, Green Lantern, Sucker Punch have all been mediocre at best.  I’m praying that Cowboys and Aliens kicks ass.  Captain America has been reviewed as a very good summer movie but it’s getting far more love because of it’s after-the-credits mega trailer (and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google it), and really – do we give a crap about anything else right now, movie wise?  When Fast Five is your breakout surprise hit, it’s been a sad movie year.

So, excuse me if this has got me all amped for 2012…
