We Got Game: The Future – What’s coming for 2009

When I can tear myself away from LittleBigPlanet to write this damn review, it will go up. Probably late this weekend, But, in the meantime, let’s take a quick look forward to 2009. Here are some of the big titles expected to drop in the first two quarters:

Killzone 2
Afro Samurai
DC Universe Online
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh
Mafia II
Fight Night Round 4
God Of War III
Wanted
Tekken 6
Street Fighter IV
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Fusion
Flower
GTA IV: The Lost & The Damned

More after the jump…

Personally, I’m stoked for Killzone 2 right now because it’s going to be a beast. It looks like it will rival Call Of Duty for badass military multiplayer. For the year, my personal faves already look like this:

Tekken 6 – pray they don’t mess up the best fighting game ever made.
Street Fighter IV – ditto
God Of War III – The end is near and it never looked so good. If this is half as good as GOW – Chains of Olympus, then it will rule when it’s released.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – I saw the trailer, read the previews and if Naughty Dog can pull it off, this will revolutionize the industry. Trust me.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Fusion – MUA was the BEST comic-book based video game evah! I pray they don’t mess this one up.
Afro Samurai – Sam Jackson and bloody death awaits you. Go forth – slice and dice.
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh – I wasn’t stoked until I saw the premiere on the Video Game Awards. It looks fantastic and is properly brutal. If the hype remains true, it could be one of the best movie-based games and clearly this genre needs it.

What games are you looking forward to in 2009?
