The Comics Rack: On Your Marks, Get Set…. Huh? Marketing DC’s “New 52”

I had almost finished my post about the marketing for DC Comics “New 52”, but a funny thing happened on my way to click save.

Robot 6, Comic Book Resources’ renowned blog site, went there…. Oh boy, did they go there!

So read it, let it marinate and then know – if they’re writing it, and I’m thinking it – so many others must be thinking it as well.  Which leads to the elephant in the room…

Why isn’t DC doing something about it?

  1. The CBR crowd is predictably clueless. The relaunch has nothing to do with anyone so lacking in standards that they’re still reading DC. It’s to win back the people who left in disgust while they kept reading. Why would they care what the CBR crowd thinks? Anyone still buying DC after the last 5 years will clearly buy anything.
